Russian forces are advancing through the territory of the "Pivdennodonbaska 3" mine, where a 115-meter shaft was blown up. This was reported in a personal blog by a Ukrainian Armed Forces lieutenant with the call sign "Alex" on September 16.

According to him, the occupiers claim that "the shaft was mined by our troops, but they were the ones who blew it up".

"The idiots are so proud that they supposedly blew it up themselves that they don't even care about losing a critically important elevation that could have helped them in future combat operations. We don't really care who blew it up. The main thing is the destruction of the height that the enemy could have used", - noted "Alex".

However, he emphasizes that the overall situation in the Vuhledar direction is far from ideal.

"Once again, they're launching assaults in the Vuhledar direction, two waves with three pieces of equipment each. As of now, they're already getting beaten", - the soldier wrote.

"By the way, the Vuhledar direction is also at the center of events, and the enemy is having some small successes there. The fact is, their advances in all three directions — Pokrovske, Kurakhove, and Vuhledar — could give them access to open operational space. That's why attention must be given to all of these directions; the defense of each is crucial since they are interconnected", - concluded the Ukrainian Armed Forces lieutenant.
