"In Toropets, the Tver oblast, debris from a UAV fell during an air defense response, causing a fire. Emergency services and the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Tver oblast have arrived at the scene, and efforts are underway to localize the fire", - Rudenya stated.

"Did you see that blast? The military base got hit", - a local resident can be heard saying in the background of one of the videos posted.

"Evacuations have been ordered, and schools and kindergartens have been closed. Russians are dealing with the aftermath of drone strikes on the military base in Toropets, Tver region. NASA’s fire maps show that the fire covers much of the town… A nearby village has been cut off for evacuation, and people are waiting for help by the lakeshore, but there aren’t enough boats for everyone. Ammunition depots are still burning and detonating, and NASA maps show that the entire town of Toropets is on fire along with the depots", - the Telegram channel "Real War. Ukraine. News" reports.

Residents of the village Tsikarevo, located across the river from the military base’s depots, have requested at least five boats for evacuation. Local authorities have yet to reach the villagers, who are waiting on the shore.

Earlier, a series of explosions were reported over russia’s Belgorod, with reports of hits and fires.
