The authorities of the "DNR" are forecasting the spread of fires at a speed of up to 30 kilometers per hour due to strong winds. This was stated in a report by the "main emergency management office of the region".
It is noted that wind gusts in the "DNR" on Wednesday reached up to 20 meters per second, which poses a risk of rapid fire spread. "With such strong winds, the fire front can move at speeds up to 30 km/h", - the "office" stated.
In the past 24 hours, the largest vegetation fires were recorded in Donetsk, Makiivka, Chystiakove (Torez), and Snizhne, as well as the Telmanovsky and Starobeshevsky districts of the occupied part of the Donetsk oblast.
As reported earlier, the local authorities of the "DNR" have declared the situation with wildfires to be an emergency.
