Denis Pushilin, the leader of the so-called "DNR", paid a visit to Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko on September 19, according to a report on Lukashenko's official website.

During the meeting, Lukashenko promised the separatist leader that Belarus would cooperate with the "DNR", "absolutely without violating any international norms".

"We have been cooperating for a long time. Regarding Belarus, we have always cooperated with the Donetsk oblast when it was part of Ukraine. And naturally, in these complex, difficult times, for the past 10 years, we have not backed away from this cooperation and are ready to continue it now. Moreover, certain groundwork has been laid, and a foundation has been established", - Lukashenko was quoted as saying.

The dictator emphasized that this cooperation should "avoid intermediaries, and the Belarusian side is ready to do this".
