Russian occupiers struck a five-story geriatric care home building in Sumy on the afternoon of September 19, resulting in casualties, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) on Telegram.

The fifth floor and technical floors were partially destroyed. A total of 147 people were evacuated from the building.
"There are no people trapped under the rubble. One person has died, and 12 others were injured", - reported the SES.
The agency noted that 5 buses were deployed for the rescue effort, including 2 from the SES, as well as 2 medical teams for transporting patients to hospitals and other care homes.
