With the loss of Vuhledar, the enemy could improve logistics in the south – Vladyslav Selezniov 10/03/2024 15:01:29. Total views 101. Views today — 5.

The loss of Vuhledar could allow the russians to improve their logistics in the south, but Ukrainian forces will complicate this process with drones and missiles, according to military expert and former head of the General Staff press service of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel Vladyslav Selezniov, in an interview with OstroV.

"By losing control over Vuhledar, we lose the ability to conduct artillery strikes on the railway station in Volnovakha, one of the key elements of russian railway logistics. Now, the enemy will be able to ensure logistics for its grouping in southern Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts under relatively safe conditions. Therefore, we can expect a significant intensification of combat operations in these areas. And some worrying signs are already emerging, as the enemy increasingly conducts attacks in the area of Staromaiorske. We see that the enemy is identifying other directions for intensifying combat operations, such as Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Kupiansk, and Lyman", - he said.

According to him, the supply of everything necessary to russian troops in southern Zaporizhzhia oblast will now occur on a larger scale.

"However, we shouldn't rule out the actions of Ukrainian scouts who will work to complicate this logistics as much as possible, and we also have drones and missiles that can be deployed", - added Vladyslav Selezniov.

It should be noted that russian propagandists are portraying the loss of Vuhledar as their "strategic victory".

As reported earlier, Ukrainian Defense Forces withdrew from Vuhledar in the Donetsk oblast.
