The enemy is extremely active in the Kurakhove direction, where 10 battles are ongoing as of October 8, according to operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 16:00 on October 8.
"The situation on the front is characterized by the enemy’s heightened activity in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions. ...Fighting is ongoing near Tsukurine, Novoselidivka, Hirniak, Maksymilianivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka, Antonivka, and Vodiane in the Kurakhove direction. According to updated information, 14 out of 24 attacks by the occupation army in this area have already been repelled today. Intense battles are ongoing", - the report says.
In the Kharkiv direction, russian occupiers attempted to storm the defensive positions of the Ukrainian army three times in the areas of Vovchansk and Starytsia. Additionally, the enemy dropped an aerial bomb in the area of Mali Prokhody.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched eight active assaults on the positions of our units in the areas of Synkivka, Stepna Novoselivka, Lozova, and Kruhlikivka, with six of these battles still ongoing. Ukrainian troops are steadfastly defending.
In the Lyman direction, the invaders carried out ten attacks on Ukrainian positions near Makiivka, Hrekivka, Novosadove, and Dibrova. Seven clashes ended unsuccessfully for the enemy, while three are still ongoing. Additionally, the enemy launched an attack with unguided aerial rockets in the area of the Serebrianske Forestry.
In the Siversk direction, near the village of Ivano-Darivka, Ukrainian defenders repelled an attack by the occupying forces.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders conducted three assaults on our army’s positions near Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, and Stupochky. Two enemy attacks were repelled, and one is still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy, supported by aviation, concentrated its efforts in the areas of Toretsk and Nelypivka, where eight clashes occurred, with seven of these attacks still ongoing. The situation remains under control.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, the occupiers have made 19 attempts to dislodge our defenders from their positions in the areas of Sukha Balka, Novotoretske, Luch, Sukhyi Yar, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Novohrodivka, and Selydove. The defense forces are holding back the pressure, having repelled 12 enemy attacks, with seven clashes still ongoing. Enemy losses are being clarified.
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy launched four assaults on our positions near Bohoiavlenka, with one battle still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers launched two attacks on our units near Robotyne and towards Novodanylivka. The terrorist army also shelled Lobkove with unguided aerial rockets.
In the Prydniprovsk direction, the invaders are continuing their attempts to dislodge our forces from their positions. So far today, they have carried out three assaults, with two battles still ongoing.
During the day, several settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts were affected by enemy terrorist attacks. Yastrebyne, Pavlivka, Turia, Khoten, and Kondrativka were struck by aviation.
