More than 330,000 civilians remain in the Ukraine-controlled territory of the Donetsk oblast. This was stated by Dmytro Petlin, head of the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization, and Defense Work at the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, during an online briefing, as reported by Ukrinform.

"The evacuation of civilians from settlements in the Donetsk oblast continues... As of October 15, 2024, approximately 334,000 civilians remain in the territory of the Donetsk oblast under Ukrainian control", - Petlin said.

He noted that during evacuation efforts conducted by authorities at all levels, volunteer organizations, and volunteers, more than 1.163 million civilians have been evacuated from the Donetsk oblast, including 175,700 children and around 46,000 people with disabilities.

According to Petlin, evacuations are carried out daily, and residents are provided with all necessary information regarding their transportation and accommodation in safe regions, including free lodging.

"Efforts to inform the population about evacuation continue. Notifications have reached approximately 239,000 people, and there have been 14,643 refusals to evacuate", - Petlin stated.

As previously reported, 12,000 people and 68 children remain in Pokrovsk, and about 400 people in Chasiv Yar.
