South Korea is exploring the possibility of sending military and intelligence personnel to Ukraine in response to North Korean units being involved in the war on russia's side. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Nastoyashchee Vremia" citing the Yonhap news agency, which refers to a government source.

It is also noted that South Korea is considering direct arms supplies to Ukraine, a step it has previously refrained from taking.

Meanwhile, russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that reports of military deployment are contradictory and should be treated as such.

Earlier, it was revealed that, according to South Korean intelligence, North Korea sent about 1,500 troops to russia to participate in combat operations in Ukraine on the side of the aggressor. In total, North Korea is said to have deployed around 12,000 military personnel.
