The European Union considers the use of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) by russia to signify another escalation by russian dictator putin, according to European Commission spokesperson Peter Stano during a briefing in Brussels, as reported by European Pravda.

Stano noted that the EU is aware of the reports regarding russia’s use of such missiles and is currently assessing the full situation.

"Clearly, such attacks would represent yet another blatant escalation by putin. Over recent periods, we have not lacked signs of further conflict escalation from him", - he stated.

He also highlighted that russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure do not indicate a desire for de-escalation.

"Putin is once again engaging in nuclear brinkmanship with russia’s recently updated nuclear doctrine. He has brought North Korean soldiers onto European soil—clear signals of escalating aggression rather than a genuine pursuit of peace", - Stano emphasized.

He added that if the reports of russia deploying an ICBM against Ukraine are confirmed, "it will mark both a quantitative and qualitative shift in russia’s approach and serve as a clear signal of further escalation".

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that on November 21, russia launched a missile against Ukraine with all the characteristics of an ICBM.
