The russian army conducted a combat test of a mid-range ballistic missile, striking the "Pivdenmash" plant in Dnipro, as stated by russian dictator putin in a video address.
"This was a ballistic missile equipped with a non-nuclear hypersonic payload", - he specified.
According to putin, the strike was a response to Western countries allowing their weapons to target russian territory. He revealed that the missile has been named "Oreshnik" and claimed that modern air defense systems are incapable of intercepting this type of carrier, including nuclear payloads.
"They strike targets at speeds of 2-3 kilometers per second, making interception impossible", - the russian dictator asserted.
