Russia may be responsible for nearly 100 incidents in Europe classified as hybrid attacks, espionage, or influence operations, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský said during a NATO ministers' meeting in Brussels, as reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Reuters.

According to him, around 500 suspicious incidents were recorded in Europe in 2024, with up to 100 hybrid attacks directly linked to russia.

"We must send moscow a strong signal that we will not tolerate this", - the Czech minister emphasized.

The NATO meeting also discussed steps to strengthen collective security and counter hybrid threats. NATO members reaffirmed the importance of intelligence sharing and coordination in efforts to combat espionage and disinformation.

Russia actively employs hybrid tactics in Europe, combining cyberattacks, disinformation, espionage, and physical sabotage to destabilize the region. Numerous incidents recorded in 2024 illustrate the scope of this aggression.

Russian hackers have targeted critical infrastructure, including energy and government systems, in countries such as Poland, Latvia, and Germany. Additionally, fake news campaigns, including extensive anti-Ukrainian propaganda, have been widely disseminated.
