Putin promised to deploy "Oreshnik" IRBM in Belarus, responding to a request from the Belarusian dictator Lukashenko. This was reported by russian media on December 6.
“‘Oreshnik’ can be deployed in Belarus in the second half of 2025 as its production ramps up”, - putin said.
According to him, "Oreshnik" in Belarus will be part of the Strategic Missile Forces of the Armed Forces of russia, but targeting decisions will rest with Minsk.
Additionally, the dictator did not miss the opportunity to remind about the nuclear threat, claiming that in the event of a group application of "Oreshnik", its power would supposedly be comparable to nuclear weapons but without radiation consequences.
