A decision has been made to evacuate 146 children from 7 settlements of the Udachne community in the Donetsk oblast, the Donetsk Oblast State Administration reported on December 17.
During an extraordinary meeting of the regional commission on technogenic and environmental safety and emergency situations of the Donetsk oblast, a decision was made to evacuate children along with their parents and other legal representatives from seven settlements of the Udachne territorial community in the Pokrovsk district.
The military-political situation in the Pokrovsk district has significantly deteriorated, with active hostilities ongoing and a real threat to the lives and health of residents, including children, who are in danger and cannot independently decide to evacuate. Therefore, a decision was made to carry out the forced evacuation of children and their families from the villages of Udachne, Kalynivka, Molodetske, Serhiivka, Muravka, Novomykolaivka, and Novoserhiivka.
A total of 146 children, along with their parents or other legal representatives, will be evacuated to safer regions of Ukraine.
As a result of the commission's meeting, all local government and law enforcement agencies involved in the evacuation process have been given appropriate instructions. Evacuation routes and transit hubs, where families with children from the Udachne community will be temporarily accommodated, have also been determined.
