The so-called "LNR" authorities have started dismantling the destroyed apartment buildings in occupied Siverskodonetsk (formerly Sievierodonetsk). This was reported to local journalists by the deputy "minister of construction and housing and communal services of the republic", Stanislav Duplenko.
"According to the instructions, there is a procedure for demolishing emergency and dilapidated housing. Following this procedure, the demolition of completely destroyed buildings that cannot be restored has begun in Sievierodonetsk", - he said.
Notably, this work began more than two and a half years after the occupation of Siverskodonetsk. The city, traditionally destroyed by russian bombs, shells, and missiles, was captured in early July 2022. The occupation authorities still do not mention any plans for its restoration.
