The number of russian military personnel on Ukrainian territory is constantly growing—this year alone, an additional 100,000 forces have been deployed. This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, in an interview with Le Monde, reports Hromadske.

Syrskyi believes that "the intensity of the war continues to grow both in scale and in the number of troops". He also highlighted the increasing technological level with the use of drones, which has influenced troop tactics on the battlefield.

Syrskyi declined to comment on current political discussions, from President Volodymyr Zelensky's "victory plan" to the initial statements by Donald Trump after his election. He only noted that during wartime, the military aspect of the plan "is always paramount".

The Commander-in-Chief also emphasized that he can only attempt, as he did this year with the Kharkiv offensive, to disrupt moscow's plans.

Last week, President Zelensky revealed the number of russian soldiers fighting on Ukrainian territory. According to him, there are 800,000.
