The Embraer 190 aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines, flying the Baku-Grozny route and crashing on December 25, in Aktau, was shot down by a russian missile. This was stated by Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under Ukraine's NSDC.
"An Embraer 190 aircraft of the Azerbaijani airline flying from Baku to Grozny was shot down by a russian air defense system", - Kovalenko wrote.
He noted that russia should have closed the airspace over Grozny but failed to do so.
"The plane was damaged by the russians and sent to Kazakhstan instead of being urgently landed in Grozny to save lives", - the head of the NSDC Center pointed out.
It was reported that traces of possible ground fire were found on the fuselage of the Embraer 190 aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines, which was flying the Baku-Grozny route and crashed December 25, in Aktau.
