Ukraine's Defense Forces eliminated three officers of the russian army in the Zaporizhzhia oblast. The occupiers had gathered for a meeting and were targeted by HIMARS rockets, according to Ukraine's Defense Intelligence.

"Intelligence personnel received information about a planned meeting involving officers from the command of the 4th Guards Military Base of russian occupation forces participating in the criminal war against Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia oblast. After verifying and confirming the intelligence, military reconnaissance developed an operational plan, with forces and means from the Tavria Operational-Strategic Group, and the Typhoon Tactical Group of the Security Service of Ukraine joining the effort. Shortly after the field meeting began, a precision strike from HIMARS was carried out on the gathering of russian officers and their vehicles. When the invaders' evacuation group arrived, Ukrainian security and defense forces attacked with strike drones", - the statement reads.

As a result of the operation, three officers of the Russian occupation forces were eliminated:

- Captain Dmitry Nagorny, commander of the 1st Battalion of the 135th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the russian Armed Forces;

- Captain Grigory Krokhmalev, deputy chief of staff for intelligence and head of reconnaissance for the 135th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the russian Armed Forces;

- Captain Yuri Fomin, commander of the anti-aircraft battery of the 4th Guards Military Base of the russian Armed Forces.

Additionally, five russian vehicles were destroyed.
