A woman’s body was found under the rubble of a building in Kyiv, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) on January 1.
It has been confirmed that there are now two fatalities resulting from the attack on Kyiv, as reported by KCMA head Tymur Tkachenko.
He stated that efforts to address the aftermath of the strike on the capital have been ongoing since early morning.
"Unfortunately, there are already two fatalities. My condolences to their families and loved ones", - Tkachenko noted.
Rescue operations are continuing in the Pecherskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts.
It has also been reported that seven people were injured, including two pregnant women.
On New Year’s Eve, russia attacked Ukraine with 111 drones from four directions. Defense forces managed to shoot down 63 enemy UAVs during the night.
