A total of UAH 2.23 trillion ($53 billion) has been allocated this year for the military and defense industry. This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram on January 3.
"Under the 'Weapon of Victory' project, we will launch long-term contracts with manufacturers for 3-5 years. The task set by the President of Ukraine is to produce at least 30,000 long-range drones. Ukrainian enterprises also plan to manufacture about 3,000 cruise missiles and drone rockets", - Shmyhal stated.
Expenditures on armaments and military equipment will amount to no less than UAH 739 billion. Plans by domestic defense enterprises include increasing current production capabilities to $30 billion.
Ukraine will also develop the "Danish model", in which partners purchase weapons from the Ukrainian defense industry for the needs of the Ukrainian army. For 2025, more than $1 billion in investment is expected.
Previously, it was reported that Ukraine is finalizing the development of the "Trembita" missile, which is capable of striking moscow.
