Russian forces carried out 3,454 strikes on the Donetsk oblast within 24 hours, targeting 10 settlements: the cities of Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Siversk, Toretsk, and the villages of Veroliubivka, Zaporizke, Ivanopillia, Katerynivka, Rivne, and Serhiivka. Thirty-seven civilian structures were damaged, including 23 residential homes, the regional police reported on January 7.
In Siversk, the occupiers shelled with artillery, killing one person, injuring another, and damaging a private home.
Rodynske was attacked by drones and artillery, injuring one civilian and damaging two apartment buildings, a private home, an educational institution, three garages, and two vehicles.
In Rivne, a drone strike hit a civilian car, injuring two people.
In Pokrovsk, shelling damaged two private homes and a garage. In Zaporizke, a private house and garage were hit, while in Serhiivka, an industrial zone sustained damage.
In Katerynivka, FAB-250 bombs damaged four private homes, and in Ivanopillia, an infrastructure facility and a power line were hit.
Veroliubivka was shelled by artillery, damaging 12 private houses.
The Donetsk Oblast Military Administration reported that 191 people, including nine children, were evacuated from the front line over the past day.
