The U.S. requires political will for this to happen, kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated on January 10.
"Putin has repeatedly expressed his openness to contacts with international leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump. The president has mentioned this many times, we have mentioned this many times, and no conditions are required for it", - Peskov said.
He also added that there are no concrete plans for the meeting yet.
"Actions to arrange contacts between Putin and Trump will begin when Trump officially assumes the office of U.S. President", - Peskov stated.
As previously reported, Trump announced that he plans to meet with putin.
