As part of President of Ukraine's initiative Bring Kids Back UA, five Ukrainian children aged 1.5 to 18, who had been under russian occupation for a long time, were successfully returned home today. This was announced on Telegram by Daria Zarivna, Communications Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine and COO of Bring Kids Back UA.

Among those returned is a 15-year-old daughter of a Ukrainian servicewoman who was recently released from captivity. While the mother was in captivity, the family had to conceal their plans to leave to ensure her safety.

An 8-year-old boy was also brought home; despite the occupiers' bans, he secretly attended a Ukrainian online school during his time in occupation.

Another returnee is a 17-year-old young man who, holding a strong pro-Ukrainian stance, personally sought help to escape the occupation and build his future in Ukraine. He celebrated his 18th birthday back home.

“Each return is a complex operation requiring coordination of many efforts. Special thanks to the team at the Ombudsman’s Office for organizing the rescue mission and ensuring the safe return of our children from occupation”, - Zarivna wrote.
