Negotiations between Ukraine and russia are possible, but securing security guarantees from Western partners is crucial, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an interview with British broadcaster ITV News.
Zelensky said that "he would be open to any format of negotiations with russia if he had a clear understanding that the U.S. and Europe would not abandon Ukraine".
"If I had the understanding that America and Europe wouldn’t leave us, that they would support us and provide security guarantees, then I would be ready for any format of negotiations", - the president emphasized.
Zelensky also previously stated that all the conditions are in place for ending the war in 2025.
