A massive strike on Ukraine’s energy system on February 11 once again led to emergency power outages. This was reported by Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko.
According to him, gas infrastructure was specifically targeted. To minimize potential consequences, the transmission system operator is applying emergency electricity restrictions.
The Poltava Oblast Military Administration also reported that gas infrastructure facilities were hit.
"As a result of the missile strike, nine settlements in the Myrhorod district were left without gas supply. No hits on civilian infrastructure have been recorded", - the administration noted.
It was previously reported that electricity supply restrictions will be reintroduced in Ukraine.
