The head of the Anti-Terrorist Center Headquarters of the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) was working for the russians. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine on February 12.
"This was an extremely complex operation and a multi-step execution, during which we used all possible overt and covert forms and methods of our work, as well as the full range of operational and technical measures. Through encrypted software implants, we infiltrated the traitor's gadgets—mobile phones, computers. Throughout this audio and video surveillance, we were able to thoroughly document the collection and transmission of classified information to the enemy", - said Vasyl Maliuk.
Additionally, through the traitor, the SBU had been feeding misinformation to the enemy for an extended period—first as part of counterintelligence measures, and later within a criminal case.
It was reported that the head of the SBU personally joined the operational-investigative team that was working on the traitor and led the operation to detain him. Vasyl Maliuk directly reported all stages of the special operation to President Zelensky.
