Russia plans to open a "post-industrial park" by 2035 on the site of the heroic Mariupol metallurgical plant "Azovstal". This was reported by russian media on February 14.
"The Azovstal plant in Mariupol will become the main tourist attraction of Donbas. The site will feature a public post-industrial park worth approximately 100 billion rubles", - the report states.
According to russian media, the project is set to be developed and completed by 2035. Planned attractions include the "Blast Furnace" tourist site, where visitors will learn about metallurgical production methods, an ore yard with a museum, hotels, shops, event spaces, and a refreshing coastal area.
Technical project development is currently underway, and budget estimates are being prepared.
