Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants a "constructive dialogue" with the U.S. He stated this in an interview with the British media company BBC, which published excerpts from his comments on its website on March 3, as reported by DW.
"I just want the Ukrainian position to be heard"б - Zelensky said.
"We want our partners to remember who the aggressor in this war is"б - he added.
Speaking after the European leaders' summit in London on March 2, Zelensky stated that the nature of his recent meeting in Washington was not beneficial for either the U.S. or Ukraine as partners but was only advantageous for putin.
At the same time, the Ukrainian leader stated that he would return to the White House if invited.
Meanwhile, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent earlier stated in an interview with CBS News that the rare earth metals agreement is currently not on the negotiating table. "I think we need to see whether President Zelensky wants to continue (peaceful resolution – ed.). What’s the point of an economic agreement that will become invalid if he wants the fighting to continue? President Trump wants a peace agreement", - Bessent said.
According to him, "all President Zelensky had to do was come and sign this economic agreement", but he "decided to ruin everything".
