French President Emmanuel Macron, in an interview with the newspaper Le Figaro, disclosed the details of a plan to end the war in Ukraine, prepared by France and the United Kingdom, as reported by the Telegram channel "DW Glavnoe".
The plan proposes a partial ceasefire between russia and Ukraine for a period of one month. According to Macron, the ceasefire will not apply to ground combat along the front line but only to air and naval attacks, including strikes on energy infrastructure.
Under the Franco-British proposal, European troops would be deployed to Ukraine only at a later stage.
"There will be no European troops on Ukrainian soil in the coming weeks", - Macron stated.
According to him, negotiations may last for many weeks, and a peacekeeping contingent could be deployed after the signing of a peace agreement.
Speaking to journalists about Macron's plan, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he is "aware of everything".
