The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, while in the operational zone of the "Kursk" military group, noted that the situation on the border of the Sumy oblast with Kursk oblast of the russian federation is under the control of Ukraine's Defense Forces. Syrskyi reported this on Facebook on March 10.

"I am working in the operational zone of the 'Kursk' military group. The situation on the border of the Sumy oblast with the Kursk oblast of the russian federation is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A number of settlements along the border, whose names appear in the reports of russian propagandists, have already ceased to exist—they have been destroyed by the aggressor's firepower", - Syrskyi stated.

According to him, despite the involvement of a significant number of russian troops, reinforced by North Korean infantry, the enemy is suffering heavy losses in manpower and equipment. In the Plekhove area alone, the enemy has lost almost an entire infantry battalion in four days of fighting. Separate sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs) and small enemy infantry groups attempting to infiltrate Ukrainian territory are being eliminated by Ukrainian firepower thanks to a pre-established defense system.
