"More than 2,390 children have been affected in Ukraine due to russia’s full-scale armed aggression. As of the morning of March 12, 2025, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 601 children have died, and more than 1,788 have sustained injuries of varying severity", - the Office of the Prosecutor General reported on Facebook on March 12.
The highest number of child casualties is in the Donetsk oblast—625, followed by the Kharkiv oblast—468, the Kherson oblast—198, the Dnipropetrovsk oblast —202, the Kyiv oblast —136, the Zaporizhzhia oblast —167, and the Mykolaiv oblast —118.
On March 11, as a result of shelling in the village of Rivne, the Donetsk oblast, two boys, aged 13 and 11, were killed, and a 14-year-old boy was injured.
On March 8, a 15-year-old girl was wounded due to shelling in Druzhkivka, the Donetsk oblast.
On March 7, a 7-year-old girl was injured as a result of shelling in Kramatorsk.
That same day, in the village of Pokrovske, Myrhorod district, the Poltava oblast, a 15-year-old girl was injured by shelling.
Also, on March 7, shelling in Dobropillia, the Donetsk oblast, resulted in injuries of varying severity to seven children—girls aged 9, 14, 16, and 17, and boys aged 10 and two 11-year-olds.
