The negotiations between representatives of Ukraine and the U.S., which took place in Jeddah, have concluded, and discussions in the public sphere are now focused on possible further steps toward peace. Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the situation and emphasized the country's readiness to end the war.
"I am serious about this. Russia must be forced (to cease fire). We are ready for a 30-day silence format", - Zelensky stated.
According to the president, the 30-day ceasefire between Ukraine and the russian federation would serve as preparation for a plan to end the war. Once it is over, martial law will be lifted, and elections will take place.
During the briefing, Zelensky recalled the reaction of European leaders and said, "The Europeans have already said that the ball is in russia’s court".
