During an online summit of Kyiv’s allies, organized by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the United Kingdom secured support from a "significantly larger number" of countries willing to send their troops to Ukraine after a ceasefire is reached. This was reported by the Telegram channel "DW Glavnoe" citing The Sunday Times, which, in turn, refers to high-ranking government sources.
Initially, the publication recalls, only three countries had expressed such a willingness. According to one of ST's sources, the contingent will exceed 10,000 personnel. At the same time, the majority of the troops will likely come from the United Kingdom and France, the report states.
Additionally, around 35 countries have expressed their readiness to provide weapons, logistics, and intelligence support as part of the discussed peacekeeping mission. A detailed discussion on this matter will take place on March 20 in London at a meeting of military leaders from the "coalition of the willing", ST writes.
