The U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy for Middle East affairs, Steve Witkoff, stated that on March 23, negotiations on a ceasefire will continue in the city of Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). Witkoff made this announcement in an interview with Fox News, as reported by Ukrainska Pravda.

According to him, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and President Trump's National Security Advisor Mike Waltz will once again travel to Saudi Arabia.

The main topic of the meeting is the detailing of agreements, particularly regarding the 30-day ceasefire.

When asked about halting attacks on energy infrastructure and targets in the Black Sea, Witkoff said that "the russians are currently agreeing to both of these aspects".

"I really hope that the Ukrainians will also agree to this", - Witkoff said.

"Of course, we have some details to discuss, but this will start on Sunday in Jeddah, and we will have a good conversation to achieve positive results", - Trump's special envoy stated.

He added that the U.S.-proposed 30-day ceasefire should cover "energy and infrastructure as a whole".
