"The russian federation is ramping up its discrediting campaign against Ukraine. The enemy has accused our Defense Forces of shelling the "Sudzha" gas metering station. These accusations are baseless", - the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on social media on March 21.

It is noted that this station has been repeatedly shelled by the russians themselves.

"In particular, last summer, it was bombed with guided aerial bombs, and three days ago, the russians struck it again with KAB bombs as well. Today, the enemy intensified its planned destructive informational attack with another provocation—shelling this facility with artillery", - the General Staff wrote.

It is emphasized that russian forces previously used the main gas pipeline for covert troop movements.

"Russians continue to produce numerous fakes and seek to mislead the international community. We urge you to trust only official sources, verify information, and not fall for manipulations", - the statement also said.

Earlier, it was reported that the "Sudzha" gas metering station in the Kursk oblast, through which russians supplied gas to Europe, was hit. The fire could be seen from the border of the Kursk and Sumy oblasts.
