U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz assessed the U.S. negotiations with delegations from Ukraine and russia in Saudi Arabia and shared what topics will be discussed. He stated this in an interview with CBS News, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.
"We're moving closer and we're closer to peace (peace agreement between Ukraine and russia - ed.) than we ever have been", - Waltz said.
According to him, it all started with conversations between U.S. President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and russian dictator vladimir putin.
"And now we have technical teams, actually, with Ukrainians and russians at the same facility, conducting proximity talks", - Waltz stated.
He stated that the negotiations in Saudi Arabia on March 24 will specifically address the issue of a ceasefire in the Black Sea.
"This week, we will now talk about a ceasefire in the Black Sea so that both sides can transport grain, fuel, and restart trade in the Black Sea", - he said.
After that, according to Waltz, discussions will focus on the front line, territorial issues, and achieving and maintaining sustainable peace.
