U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he will have a phone conversation with russian president vladimir putin this week. He also added that he would be very angry if a ceasefire is not reached due to russia’s fault. The American president said this in an interview with NBC News on Sunday, March 30, according to TSN.

“If we cannot reach an agreement with russia to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I determine that it was russia’s fault, I am going to impose additional tariffs on oil, on all oil coming from russia”, - Trump said.

At the same time, he threatened high tariffs not only on russian oil but also on other goods from russia.

“There will be a 25% tariff on oil and other products sold to the United States, secondary tariffs”, - Trump said, noting that tariffs against russia would take effect within a month if no ceasefire agreement is reached.

The U.S. president also warned that those who buy oil from russia will not be able to do business in the United States.

Trump added that putin knows he is angry but noted that he has “very good relations with him” and that “anger dissipates quickly... if he does the right thing”.
