This promise to the city residents was made during a meeting of the so-called operational headquarters for heat and water supply in the region.
The headquarters' statement notes that "due to an accident at the Verkhne-Kalmius filtration station, water was supplied to Donetsk unstably for three days". Allegedly, the situation has now been stabilized, with trunk pipelines and nodes already filled.
A decision was made to supply water to all districts of the occupied oblast center from 17:00 to 21:00, "so that Donetsk residents can replenish their reserves".
The headquarters promises to resume scheduled water supply.
As previously reported, after the start of russia’s open aggression against Ukraine, problems began with providing drinking water to the population in the occupied Donbas. Running water is supplied according to a schedule for several hours, often not every day and not to all parts of the city.
