The head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, on April 14 called for “maximum pressure” on russia to end the war in Ukraine following the missile strike on the city of Sumy. This was reported by the BBC.
“I think we must exert pressure, maximum pressure on russia, to actually stop this war, because it takes two to make peace”, - Kallas told journalists upon arrival at the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg.
“All those who want the killings to stop must exert maximum pressure”, - Reuters quoted Kaja Kallas as saying.
As reported, Macron responded to the missile strike on Sumy. Also, Keir Starmer and Olaf Scholz stated that russia must agree to a complete ceasefire after the strike on Sumy.
