“Parliament, for the 15th time during this convocation, approved Law No. 13172 extending martial law until August 6 (for 90 days)”, - MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported on April 16.
The law was supported by 357 deputies, with only one voting against it—MP Oleksii Honcharenko.
It’s worth recalling that Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk reacted on the evening of April 15 to a Telegram post by European Solidarity MP Oleksii Honcharenko. Honcharenko had announced that he would vote against the extension of mobilization and martial law on Wednesday because there was still no demobilization or service term limit. “Right now, our military, who are defending their country from occupiers, are the least protected by that very country. They are essentially in slavery”, - Honcharenko declared.
“The final results of putin’s casting in the Rada will be visible tomorrow—among those who vote against the extension of martial law”, - Stefanchuk wrote on Facebook.
