This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after visiting the zone of the operational-tactical grouping "Donetsk" on April 17.
“We continue our defensive operation, carry out counteroffensive actions, and have achieved certain successes. In recent weeks, we have liberated about 16 square kilometers of territory in the area of the settlements of Udachne, Kotlyne, and Shevchenko”, - Syrskyi reported.
He also noted that the russians have not changed their plans — “to push units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine beyond the borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts and reach the administrative boundaries of these oblasts”.
“However, the enemy’s plan remains unfulfilled”, - added the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian soldiers regained positions that had been lost earlier near two settlements in the Donetsk oblast.
