"Kharkiv: during the night the city once again came under massive strikes from russian UAVs. Civilian targets were in the crosshairs, resulting in large-scale fires and building destruction. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties or injuries", - reported Ukraine's State Emergency Service on the morning of April 23.
As of 6:35 AM, firefighting and debris removal efforts are ongoing. Units of the State Emergency Service and municipal services are working at the scene under the threat of renewed enemy strikes.
As Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov clarified, as of 2:15 AM, six strikes on the city had been recorded.
"According to preliminary information, all impacts occurred in the Novobavarskyi district. A massive fire broke out at the strike locations", - Terekhov stated.
Explosions in the city continued into the morning.
"Kharkiv - explosions", - reported the monitoring Telegram channel "Air Raid Map. Explosions. Missiles" at 7:08 AM.
