The Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations in London with the US and European allies plans to ignore the peace plan proposed by Washington and focus on discussing a 30-day ceasefire. This was reported by the Telegram channel "The Moscow Times" citing Axios, which refers to its source in the White House.
According to the source, Ukraine began signaling this position a day before the meeting, which was scheduled for today, April 23. Last week, the US presented its proposal for resolving the conflict to Ukraine and European partners and expected Kyiv's response during the talks in London.
According to Axios, the plan implies recognizing annexed Crimea as russian territory de jure, and the other occupied Ukrainian lands as de facto. The initiative also includes points on Ukraine abandoning its NATO aspirations and transferring its resources under US control. In exchange, Kyiv is offered "reliable security guarantees", but not from the US, rather from other allies. The document also mentions lifting the sanctions imposed on russia since 2014.
