"On many fronts, the situation remains difficult. Already by the middle of this day, there had been almost 70 russian assaults on our positions. The fighting continues. The occupier continues attempts to advance. I am grateful to every brigade, to all our warriors who defend Ukrainian positions and demonstrate the resilience so vital for Ukraine", - President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on April 27 after receiving a report from Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi about the situation at the front.

"The most battles are taking place on the Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk, Lyman, and Kursk directions. Our military continues active defensive actions in certain areas of the Kursk and Belgorod oblasts", - Zelensky noted.

According to him, based on the results of the fighting, special thanks are due to: the 3rd Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, which is performing combat missions most effectively on the Pokrovsk direction, and the 59th Separate Assault Brigade of the Drone Systems Forces. Also worth mentioning today are the actions of the 225th and 425th Separate Assault Regiments, the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, and the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade.

"Ukraine continues to defend its independence and land in battle. The situation at the front and the real activity of the russian army prove that the current level of pressure on russia to end this war is insufficient. Soon it will be fifty days since russia has been ignoring the proposal of the United States for a complete and unconditional ceasefire. Ukraine accepted this proposal back on March 11. Stronger pressure on russia is needed to provide more opportunities for real diplomacy. Thank you to everyone in the world who stands with Ukraine", - the President emphasized.
