Russia is not going to leave the Donbass. This opinion was expressed by the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral contact group on Donbass Iryna Herashchenko at a briefing in Kramatorsk.
"It is not going. When the issue of the border raises in Minsk, it becomes red. And why cannot we speak about the restoration of the Ukrainian-Russian border – 400 kilometers? When the issue of withdrawal of foreign troops raises, and that is the Russian troops, – the mercenaries are there now… and the military with the altered chevrons train the illegal armed groups - these people start to voice the same - that "they are not there." They are not going to leave, to withdraw the troops and to give back the border. They want to sell a pup to Ukraine in order to legitimize these characters who are there illegally represent a "power", - the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral contact group on Donbass is assured.
At the same time Moscow that controls the leaders of the separate districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, according to I. Herashchenko, keeps Ukrainian prisoner of war as a "trump card" during the negotiations in Minsk.
