Only three out of 27 thousand forced migrants in Krasnoarmeisk could arrange a rental contract
Only three out of the 27 400 000 registered persons in Krasnoarmeysk were able to execute a lease agreement. Experts of local administration of social protection told about that, - reports the Vchasno UA media center.
Most landlords don’t want to conclude lease agreements, preferring informal arrangements, as they are afraid that the conclusion of the contract may result in their rental income being subject to taxation. Thus, forced migrants cannot receive social assistance from the state for rental housing.
"Today you can rent one-bedroom apartment in a satisfactory condition in Krasnoarmeys for the 1500-1700 hryvnia plus community services payments - said the former resident of Avdeyevka Anna. - If a migrant wants to save and spend 1000 hryvnia on rent, he will be forced to rent an apartment with very poor living conditions."
In recent years, the situation became even more complicated, realtors now control almost the entire housing market. Renting an apartment or a house "directly" is almost impossible.
"And in order to rent an apartment through an agency, you have to pay realtors 100% of the rent for one month - continues Anna. - In addition, some landlords ask to pay for the last month as well.
"As a result, today, to rent a one-bedroom apartment in Krasnoarmeysk, migrants must have a total of more than 3,000 hryvnia for the first month's rent and services of a realtor, and more than 6,000 hryvnia if you need to pay the last month's rent too.
