The House of Representatives of the US Congress has forbidden Ukraine to spend money allocated to the Ukrainian army for the Azov Regiment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This is stated in the text of the document promulgated on the website of the department, - Liga.net reports.

"The funds provided by this law cannot be used to supply arms, conduct training or provide any other assistance to the Azov Battalion", - is said in the text of the document which was adopted by the Lower House.

The Azov Volunteer Battalion was reformatted into a regiment in autumn of 2014. On May 4, 2017, the House of Representatives of the USA has approved a budget for the current financial year, as well as a budget for the financing of special services for the period until September 30. According to the document, the USA allocates $150 million to Ukraine for the needs of the army.
