A powerful explosion occurred in the center of the occupied Luhansk on the night of August 1, as a result of which a monument to the "LNR" militants was damaged, the separatist media reported.
"The explosion that woke many citizens and was heard in a number of districts of Luhansk, thundered at about 2am in the "Friendship of Peoples" park on August 1... Apparently, the explosive was planted next to the monument. For now, it is covered with awning", - the message said.
On the night of September 1, 2016, this monument was undermined for the first time. Then the sculpture of the "Cossack-militiaman" was damaged, but soon the monument was restored.
