Russian-backed militants launched 14 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass over the past day. This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center.
"As a result of enemy shelling, four Ukrainian soldiers were injured, all of them were promptly evacuated to mobile hospitals. Doctors say the condition of each soldier is satisfactory", - the report said.
In Luhansk direction, militants used 120mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Troitske and Lozove. The illegal armed formations also shelled the defenders of the villages of Travneve and Maiorsk, using grenade launchers of various types, small arms and heavy machine guns
In the Donetsk sector, the outskirts of the town of Avdiivka became the epicenter of escalation, where the Ukrainian defenders came under fire from 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and machine guns. In the same area, the occupiers repeatedly fired 120mm and 82mm mortars and infantry weapons at the defenders of Butivka coal mine. In addition, heavy mortars were used by the enemy near Vodiane and Novotroyitske villages. Simultaneously, the invaders engaged grenade launchers of various types and small arms. Moreover, they opened fire from infantry fighting vehicles' cannons and a whole arsenal of small arms near the town of Krasnohorivka.
