Newly elected President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that now only the state border is shared between Ukraine and Russia and that Russia should return control of this border to Ukraine. He wrote this on Facebook.

"I reflected on Ukraine and Russia "having much in common". Today's reality is that after the annexation of Crimea and aggression in Donbas, there is only one thing that has left "in common" – this is the state border. Some 2295 kilometers and 400 meters are "in common". And Russia should return control over every millimeter from the Ukrainian side. Only then we can continue looking for "the common", - he stated.

"But the ban on the export of petroleum products, opening of points for the issuance of passports to the residents of the occupied territories and captive Ukrainians by no means approximate the settlement of relations between our countries. Such relations cannot be called "fraternal", - Zelensky added.
